Spinlight asked me to compose the game music for their new geography iPad app. The USA theme triggered inspirations as varied as Nat King Cole's "Route 66" and John Philip Souasa's marching band music. For the main quiz section of the game, I borrowed from the classic Family Feud theme song and combined it with a variation on the timeless "When The Saints Go Marching In" - sort of bluegrass meets traditional jazz meets the theme to the "Rocky" movie. For the final tune, I thought a western swing rockabilly style would work well. Check out the video or audio clips to hear the game soundtrack.
